Back from the Beau

I know I've been a slacker on the blogging front lately! We just got back from a long weekend at the Beau Rivage to celebrate Mike's 40th birthday and I haven't quite gotten back into the groove yet. We had a great time even though we lost a LITTLE money. We were able to have six great friends to join us and we had good food, good drinks and good conversation. Our favorite game this time was Casino War and we all managed to win a little bit of money at it, which still didn't quite cover our losses at some of the other games. :) We ate at Jia, the Japanese restaurant, and had a fabulous cook. All in all, we stayed up too late, drank too much, ate too much, and gambled too much but Mike and I can't wait to go again! It's a good thing that we don't live too near a casino or I think I might be having to hunt Mike down at the blackjack tables after work every day.

My mother kept my children all weekend and even took off of work so that she could take them to school, ballet, etc. I don't know what I would do without her. She and Katey washed all of their dirty clothes so I didn't come home to a mountain of laundry, either. Still, it's taken me all week to get everything put up and to get back into a routine. So I apologize about the lack of blogging and promise to do better!
