Back to School Blues

Well, it's that time of year again! Ready or not today was back to school for our family. I think I was dreading it worse than the kids. We just had a great summer and I could really get used to being a stay at home mom (as long as I still had my paycheck coming in!) but unfortunately I haven't found anyone who will pay me that kind of money to stay home. If I come up with any ideas I will spread the word but for now it's off to work I go.

The first picture is my children on the first day of school and how I want the world to see us-all happy and clean and loving. That picture is after about 10 shots. This next picture is our real life- we're not always cooperative and usually somebody is grumpy or pouting! We're also easily distracted.

Luckily, Garrett didn't stay this way for long. He has the sweetest teacher ever and so he had a great day. Mrs. Daniely is so kind and soft-spoken. She was Connor's first grade teacher, too, and I'm so excited that Garrett is in her class. Mrs. Daniely is just one of those people that makes everyone feel loved and important!

Connor is in 4th grade and it is still hard for me to believe. His teacher is fabulous, too. Mrs. Perkins is so creative and has a way of bringing out the best in children and I know he will have a great year. She is also a great friend of mine and has a wonderful sense of humor!

Reilly moved out of her class with Ms. Erma, the best nursery school teacher in the world, and into a new class. I am a little nervous about this because she has been with Ms. Erma for so long and she has taken such good care of Reilly and Garrett, too. Reilly said she had lots of fun in her new class today and I know that her new teachers will be good for her, even though it's hard to let Erma go.
Overall, I think we hit the jackpot this year with our new teachers and that's all I can ask for.
