The Game Ball!

Connor had a baseball game tonight and he hit a triple to the fence! I was running late to the game b/c of Tuesday staff meetings at work and pulled in just in time to be there for Connor's first at bat. I couldn't believe it when he hit it so far. He also got to play catcher and he was great at it. I really didn't think he would be too good at it because he is sort of all over the field usually and I didn't think his concentration would hold but he was really with it. We didn't have such a great experience with our spring team so I'm really loving Fall Ball. We have a good little team and a good coach and tonight Connor got a game ball. Of course, he was over the moon, and only talked about it a LITTLE bit-like every second since then! Isn't it funny how sometimes such little moments can be so great? I swear I thought my heart was going to swell out of my chest from watching him stop those balls and jump up to throw them back or make a play. Our life might be a zoo but it is a happy place to be!!

That is awesome! We have learned with this travel team that the catcher is probably the most important position on the field - if that ball gets by them then it's like a merry go round with the base runners! Way to go Connor!

Good job Connor!
I've heard they like good players at catcher. But back when I played softball, the suckiest player was catcher! That'll be ME.
